The scandal associated with former U.S. senator and presidential contender John Edwards has attracted national media attention to North Carolina during the past couple of weeks. John Locke Foundation President John Hood discussed the scandal in the latest print edition of National Review, then offered a more detailed response to Edwards’ public “confession” on national television. Meanwhile, JLF communications director Mitch Kokai commented on Edwards’ admission for News 14 Carolina. North Carolina state government has scandals of its own, and Carolina Journal Executive Editor Don Carrington recently provided an update on those scandals to listeners of Lockwood Phillips’ “Viewpoints Radio” program on WTKF.
