What do they have in common?

I couldn’t help but notice where the two stories fit in the new slimmed down version of the N&R print edition. In yesterday’s paper, former Mayor Keith Holliday’s comments calling out sitting council members on the landfill issue gets front-page, above the the fold, while events in Egypt are relegated to A6.

Today, the reverse is true: Egypt gets front-page treatment while offended council members’ spankdown on Holliday gets the A6 treatment.

I’ll be honest — I wonder if this even matters given the few readers the N&R print edition has left —- myself among them. But again, I couldn’t help but notice.
