Residents living on the new Winston-Salem downtown stadium-mixed-use site have until April 1 to clear out, with whopping $800 help with expenses.
Billy Prim is so kindly going to fork out those expenses, even though he doesn’t have to. But tell me if Prim isn’t going to to come out of the part of deal smelling like, well, something:
Prim is in the process of closing the real-estate deals to acquire the properties in the area, so residents will likely pay their rent to him in February and March. Several asked if they could keep their rent for those months to save money to move.
The least Mayor Allen Joines could do would be to throw in a bottle of bourbon should Wake Forest beat Louisville in the Orange Bowl. I’m still wondering who will be doing the sipping if Joines wins that bet.
