Now that Illinois Sen. Barack Obama has captured the Democratic presidential nomination, John Locke Foundation President John Hood had a chance to recap for National Review Online readers this week some key highlights of the primary campaign. Hood was not alone in sharing his election insights. The News & Observer‘s “Under the Dome” column cited Meck Deck blogger Jeff Taylor‘s thoughts about the potential danger of Republican gubernatorial candidate Pat McCrory raising funds with the help of President Bush. (Taylor also shared his expertise this week in an appearance on the WDYT Radio morning show.) One politician who’s not running for any office this year is outgoing North Carolina Gov. Mike Easley, whose unorthodox air travel patterns earned the scrutiny this week of Carolina Journal Executive Editor Don Carrington. Carrington discussed his findings this week with Henry Hinton on WNCT Radio.
