George highlighted the recent vote fraud denial syndrome on the left across the country and in North Carolina. Those folks who reel every time they think of President Bush also want to change how North Carolina will cast its votes for the next president – either giving our votes to the more popular candidate nationwide or splitting our votes by gerrymandered Congressional Districts.
The tinkerers are looking at the results of the 2000 election but have forgotten that before November 7 a number of people expected the popular vote and electoral vote winners would not be the same, but political commentators such as Steven Hill at Roll call thought Bush might win the popular vote and Gore would become president.
Just something to think about.
