The composite was developed after a man, who police think is responsible for exposing himself to students at least six different times, walked into a 20-year-old student’s apartment early on May 18. She had just returned from a party at about 4 a.m. and left her door unlocked for a friend, who she was expecting to come in a little behind her.
A man, described as white and in his early 20s, walked in the apartment in the North Holt Street duplex instead. He told the young woman that her roommate said it was OK for him to be there. He then pulled his jogging pants down and began masturbating.
She started screaming and tried to push him out the door. He shoved back, but she managed to get him out of the apartment and locked the door behind him. She called the Elon Police Department and a K-9 was used to track the man. The dog led authorities to a parking lot behind the duplex, but no one was found.
