This is surely a coup for the Duke Medical Center. Edward M. Kennedy has come to Durham today to have his inoperable brain tumor operated on. You just know the powers that be at DUMC are ecstatic, and that the P.R. people are meeting as we speak to discuss how to milk this for all it’s worth. Teddy Kennedy has got to be the biggest fish ever operated on at Duke, unless you count that Saudi princess a few years ago.
On the other hand, you just know this is a slap in the face to Mass General. Watch Duke Medical Center make a jump on the next “best hospitals” rating.
