Democratic Congressman Bob Etheridge argues,
In the 21st century, America can not afford to turn a blind eye of indifference to the struggles of local schools. Whether we like it or not the global marketplace is a reality; and our national competitiveness depends on effective federal/local partnerships to make every school a world class learning institution.
Curiously, his comment says nothing about school construction…neither does the Constitution, for that matter.
