As is no surprise, Don Carrington immediately follows this headline, thanks to his breadth of politically provocative knowledge. Don will appear as a critic in a WTVD investigative report about the use of the Western NC Governor’s Residence in Asheville. The governor’s office tells WTVD that since 2003 it doesn’t keep a record of the names of the overnight visitors the governor has authorized to use the facility. Don thinks it does. On the Lockwood Phillips Show, Don talked about the upcoming trial of the former Ferry Division director as well as the governor’s low-priced lot at the luxurious Gannonsgate sound-side community. In the G.A., aside from the obvious conflicts surrounding Speaker Black – as Don brings up, among other things in the Greensboro News & Record – there are problems with lobbying and Blue Cross’s sponsoring Sen. Martin Nesbitt’s race car.  Don covered the possible conflict-of-interest with Ken Bagwell in Asheville.
