North Carolina’s restaurant and lodging industry is reeling due to the impact of the coronavirus and government rules that have greatly curtailed customer traffic. Restaurants have moved to take-out and delivery operations. Layoffs are a reality. Meetings and conventions have canceled, leaving hotels with empty rooms and meeting space. Some businesses may not survive. Others face a daunting task to recover once the public health crisis has passed.
