John Locke Foundation kicks off the return of our weekly Shaftesbury Society lecture series with a special event: the annual tomato sandwich lunch and legislative briefing.
After state lawmakers wrap up this consequential session, join us for a progress report and a tomato sandwich, and get a sneak peek at our new home in Midtown Raleigh. Senior Vice President Becki Gray will share what went on behind the scenes, the bumps in the road and bullets dodged, the heroes who stood up for freedom, and the red flags that should give us pause as we look ahead. You’ll hear Becki’s analysis of the 2019 legislative session, what to expect moving forward, and how to continue the transformation that has made North Carolina a model for other states. Be sure to come hungry. We’ll provide home-grown tomatoes, white bread, and Duke’s mayonnaise.
