Unions: The Looming Threat To Worker Freedom

It has been three years since the landmark U.S. Supreme Court ruling in Janus v. AFSCME. The decision restored constitutional rights to public employees, saying that employees did not have to pay mandatory union fees to keep their jobs. Despite this victory for worker freedom and choice, public sector unions remain a powerful force in politics and public policy – even in right-to-work states like North Carolina. In this conversation we’ll look at the legacy of the Janus decision with plaintiff Mark Janus, the impact of unions on the public, and the targeting of North Carolina by powerful unions forces.
