Through his one-size-fits-all COVID-19 shutdown, Gov. Roy Cooper has failed to balance the public health of North Carolina with the economic health and well-being of our state. The months-long Cooper Shutdown has prohibited hundreds of thousands from earning a living and left far too many business owners with little or no hope for survival. In this conversation, the John Locke Foundation research team will update us on their extensive drill-down into COVID-19 data, showing us what we know – and importantly what we still don’t know. We’ll also look at the debate over the governor’s use of emergency powers and the innovations and reforms that have taken hold during the pandemic and which have helped us address it effectively. And we’ll look ahead to the key factors that will drive a Carolina Rebound.
