North Carolina’s military footprint is huge. With multiple bases representing most of the branches of the U.S. military, our state becomes home to the men and women who voluntarily make service to country a key piece of their lives. For some the stop in North Carolina is temporary, but for others, North Carolina is their choice for their post-military days as well. In this conversation as we near Memorial Day, we’ll talk with veterans and legislators about the military life, the challenges that come with this unique commitment to service, and efforts to ensure that North Carolina remains military friendly and military proud.
