The debate is intensifying over what constitutes election integrity and what constitutes voter suppression. It’s now fashionable for ‘woke’ businesses to decide if they approve of a state’s election laws. Gov. Roy Cooper has signed a letter opposing what he deems to be restrictions on voting and asks business leaders “to add their voices to the growing chorus of corporations standing on the right side of history.” In this conversation, we’ll talk about whether North Carolina’s elections are secure and whether our laws suppress the vote. We’ll look at recommendations for ensuring that every legally cast vote is counted, and we’ll discuss the effort to federalize elections through House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s sweeping and alarming bill, H.R. 1.
