The statistics about Americans’ understanding of our country’s founding and fundamental principles are concerning. The latest Annenberg Civic Knowledge Survey showed that only 39% were able to name the three branches of government, while 22% couldn’t even name one branch. A 2019 Gallup poll showed that four in 10 Americans embrace some form of socialism.
