The N&R follows up this Doug Clark post on Guilford County Commissioner Bruce Davis’ dissatisfaction with state Sen. Katie Dorsett.

Davis complains that Dorsett hung him out to dry in favor of hand-picked successor Gladys Robinson, saying he would have entered the District 28 race had he known Dorsett wasn’t running again.

I love Dorsett’s response: “If he wanted to file, he could have filed at any time. I didn’t keep him from doing anything.”

No doubt Davis’ experience as a Marine instilled a certain esprit de corps. But, seasoned politician that he is, Davis should have seen how this election is evolving. It’s every man —-and woman —- for himself.
