Something jumped out at me while reading the wire service version of the Charlotte Mecklenburg school bus driver who was fired for letting DJ prankster Cubby Squires get on board. Mind you, Shaniece Merchant was driving the bus to Southwest Middle School:
Merchant said Wednesday that she didn’t get a good look at Squires, who is 5-foot-7 and about 290 pounds.
“To me, he was just another student,” she said.
Termination’s a little harsh in this case, is it not?
