Writing in today’s Wall Street Journal, Noam Neusner contributes an entertaining but also enlightening piece on one of Obama’s most overworked rhetorical tricks — the straw man.

To make his own (idiotic) policies seem wise, he often sets up a straw man opponent and beats up on it, trusting that most people won’t realize that he still hasn’t given a cogent argument (or any at all) for his position.

As Obama and his cronies are now realizing, you can’t fool all the people all the time.
