While reading Go Triad columnist Vishal Khanna’s somber lament for the snowfalls of childhoods past, I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop. Sure enough, it did:

Global warming, we realize in the most concrete of ways, is no longer science fiction. It is here, right now, and we are enveloped tightly within its dangerous cloak. We close our eyes, and for the briefest of moments, we do more than just see our ice caps melting, we feel them. We feel their creaking pain as we enter the future of our lives on planet Earth in this very moment.
