I’ve been volunteering as a roving informationist at Bele Chere the last two days. Normally, I keep data acquired while volunteering out of blogging to respect personal confidentialities. I’m blabber-mouthing this time because my final shift is over, and this is supposed to be the final Bele Chere, even though that was not exploited as a marketing tool.

Overwhelmingly, the most repeated comment from visitors, which they freely offered with no prompting from me, was that they would gladly pay $5 admission. A few said they would pay $10. Now, maybe somebody was working the streets telling people to take that tidbit to the informationists. In addition, those commenting were self-selected fans of Bele Chere. Regardless, it makes one wonder how many other free government services the public would be happy to purchase at-cost.
