State Republican Party Chairman Tom Fetzer criticized Democratic Gov. Beverly Perdue this morning for proposing $1.6 billion in tax increases, including a proposed temporary sales-tax increase.
Fetzer says recent history shows that tax increases touted as temporary always linger longer than promised.
