This story is slightly old news, but it’s still very interesting (and hopefully lucrative). Stateline.org reports that governors across the nation are working in collaboration to reduce Medicaid payouts through a variety of proposals including higher co-pays and lowering the number of eligible recipients.

The final push to create such a meeting of the political minds most certainly came from such examples as Tennessee’s Insta-Socialism (just add dollars), and the Bush administration’s gouging of federal aid to the program.
