Meet Antoine Dion Young, 29. According to state corrections records, Young’s first felony conviction came in 2000. Additional drug and stolen goods felony convictions came in 2001, 2003, and 2007. Young’s probation was revoked three times following arrests on drug and larceny charges. Young was released from prison in October 2008.

Within days he was arrested for possession of a firearm by a felon, a felony. Young made a $5000 bond and was released within hours from the Mecklenburg County jail.

In March 2010 Young was arrested on misdemeanor drug and breaking and entering charges and spent 13 days in jail before being released. In August 2010 Young was arrested again, this time on an alcohol open container violation and made a $500 bond. There is no indication from online records that Young ever went to court on any of his post-prison arrests, let alone was convicted on any of the charges.

CMPD believes Young broke into the home Christopher Julian Radok, 55, and stabbed him to death when Radok returned to his home on Purser Drive on Monday evening. Young is charged with murder, felony car theft, and armed robbery.
