Today’s Freeman piece examines five durable economic myths, starting with the myth that capitalism merely allows a bit of wealth to trickle down to workers and the poor. What is really remarkable about the piece is that it was written by an undergrad at the University of Rhode Island, who is minoring in econ. Very few young Americans learn how to write clearly — in that regard, college is often of very little use — but this fellow has learned the craft.
