Asheville’s Department of Public Works is looking for ways to improve its recycling program. Ideas include giving every residence a 95-gallon rollout container and initiating a recycle rewards program so people can get redeemable bonus points when high volumes of recyclables are collected from their neighborhood on trash day. “Consequently,” the city received the Best Local Government Recycling Program award from the Carolina Recycling Association.
