Much of the political debate about immigration has focused on the word “amnesty.”

But today’s presentation to the John Locke Foundation’s Shaftesbury Society targeted another key aspect of immigration starting with the letter “a”: assimilation.

Jacob Vigdor, professor of public policy and economics at Duke University and faculty research fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research, explains in the video clip below why assimilation is an important piece of the immigration puzzle.
