More bad news for NC’s transportation needs:

The Triangle Business Journal reports today that travel on North Carolina roads is down 5.4% from last year.

The number of miles driven is important, both in the U.S. and statewide, because fewer miles driven means fewer gallons of gasoline used. That, in turn, cuts the revenue that government gets from fuel taxes ? money that is supposed to be used for highway infrastructure.
