I was only half-joking when I said that if the N&R doesn’t aggressively cover former Police Chief David Wray’s lawsuit against the City Greensboro they “should shut doors and sell the land to downtown developers.”

Newspapers all over the country are sitting on valuable downtown land that fits right in with the politically-correct push to revive cities’ urban core. For starters, newspaper parking lots seem to be a commodity —– down in Miami and here in Greensboro. But who’s got the money?

By the way, the N&R’s Allen Johnson says “the Wray lawsuit and other possible legal action related to the case could help bring some degree of closure, by moving the debate from the court of public opinion into a court of law.”
