Republican Lt. Gov. Dan Forest has unveiled a new video announcing an official first step in the 2020 campaign for N.C. governor.
Unable to run for a third consecutive term as lieutenant governor, Forest had been expected to challenge Democratic Gov. Roy Cooper.
