In Raleigh Thursday to help N.C. Court of Appeals Judge Robert Hunter raise money for a state Supreme Court campaign, attorney Benjamin Ginsberg also spoke to CarolinaJournal.tv about hot legal and judicial topics.

Ginsberg joined the Patton Boggs law firm in Washington, D.C., after serving as counsel to the Republican National Committee and the committees that work to elect GOP members of the U.S. House and Senate. He served as national counsel to the Bush-Cheney presidential campaigns and played a role in the famous Florida recount. He also served as national counsel to Mitt Romney’s presidential campaigns in 2008 and 2012.

In the video below, Ginsberg discusses Hunter, the importance of judicial races, the lasting impact of Bush v. Gore, redistricting, independent campaign expenditures, and the Obama administration’s approach to achieving policy goals.
