Winston-Salem Journal reports Forsyth County commissioners are considering a bond package that could total $550 million for the November ballot.
Note I said “could total,” because commissioners are considering different projects for bond funds. As you can probably imagine, schools, parks and community college are possibilities, but the most interesting project is a SciWorks-Children’s Museum of Winston-Salem joint venture on the former Third Street sheriff’s office. Estimated cost comes in at a mere $25 million.
