Obama is about to speak.

“I am still fired up and ready to go.”

Classy in his comments about Clinton. Says two weeks ago no one would have imagined they’d do this well in N.H.

“There is something happening in America,” he says, when people come out in the snow in huge numbers and wait in blocks-long lines to participate. They do this, he says, “because they know in their hearts that this time must be different.”

“Change is what’s happening in America.” Where have I heard that before. The crowd chants, “We want change! We want change!”

Calls on independents, Republicans and Democrats to join him “to reach for something better.” Says “there is no destiny we cannot fulfill” with “a new American majority.” This is much better than the Edwards speech.

Ok, spoke too soon. Now he’s in demagogue mode. Doctors are bad, corporations are bad, teachers need lots more pay. “We can do this with our new majority.”

Says we need to “save our planet from a point of no return” and end “the tyranny of oil.”

Now on the war. “We will finish the job on al Qaeda in Afghanistan,” pull our troops out of Iraq and never use 9/11 as a “scare tactic.” Ok, he’s lost my vote.

OK, he’s pushing Hillary out of prime time now.
