In a submission to another publication, I suggested the front page of Buncombe County’s web site read like a page out a Highlights magazine. How many nontraditional roles of government can you find on this page?
The references to “FREE” should not astound. An homeless Asheville street preacher, who recently ran for city council, avoids getting arrested for selling pot using the same definition. He preaches sermons, people pay him offerings, and he shares his pot. It is, perhaps, kind of government to share their fireworks with the wee folks.
