Bob Murphy at Hillsdale clashes with the increasingly nutty Paul Craig Roberts over the latter’s most recent harangue over the supposed evils of free trade. This is both enlightening and entertaining stuff. Read it here.

But in view of the current flap at UNC over the insensitive cartoon, I have to wonder if Murphy should have been allowed to publish his article. What if someone who had lost his job in a textile mill, for example, were to read Murphy’s cold-hearted defense of the free market? Why, it would probably make him feel bad. Maybe even offended. Shouldn’t the government at least require writers to put a warning label on all their works so that all individuals in easily-offended groups can avoid material that might hurt their feelings?
