I’m glad you like the white on your rice Roy, bleaching and enriching it has the effect of changing it. Much like you did to Bush’s words. Here is the actual quote used by Bush:
“Our third responsibility to future generations is to leave them an America that is safe from danger, and protected by peace. We will pass along to our children all the freedoms we enjoy ? and chief among them is freedom from fear.”
There was no mention of the constution or rights. He was referring to resposibility to “our chldren” and I think any parent would say they would like for their children to be free from fear. And he used the phrase “freedoms we enjoy” in the present tense, not the past.
So, there was no constitutional foray here and having an ambition to free us from fear of despots is not something that the Dems or GOP should be chastised for attempting. You see I like all kinds of rice, white or otherwise.
