Recently, a Weaverville child made news for bringing home a Bible left by the Gideon Society at his school. His mother claims he did it under duress, pressured by peers. Today, his mother is back in the news complaining that the school will not allow her to donate “books affirming her pagan beliefs.” The school justified its double-standard, saying it will accept no religious books while its policy undergoes a legal review.
