How interesting that after I kept emphasizing the Brady-Sanders tapes, the City of Greensboro’s latest document dump relates to that very subject.

Note that Scott Sanders’ attorney Seth Cohen tells Smith Moore attorney Martin Erwin that the city’s motion in federal court to release the tapes “would not only be frivolous, but would be improper in that the only purpose for such a motion is to allow the City to play the tape recording and therefore harass my client.”

That indeed was the sole purpose of playing the tape, not to mention harassing Randall Brady and David Wray. The tapes had nothing to do with anything of substance relating to the Wray situation. For that matter, neither does any of the other information released today. Talk about a frivolous motion.

Update: Cohen is Sanders’ attorney, but it appears as though he’s speaking on behalf of Randall Brady in one of the letters. But no doubt the purpose of releasing the tape was to harass Sanders, too.
