Republicans and conservatives are bound to make gains in the 2010 elections. Those gains could mask some major problems within the conservative movement.

That’s the assessment of David Frum, the former speechwriter for George W. Bush who’s now a resident fellow at the American Enterprise Institute. Frum delivered last night’s 2010 John W. Pope Lecture at N.C. State University.
