Yes, the U.S. is succeeding in Iraq, so much that the Washington Post is reporting that al Qaeda in Iraq is crippled and the American Thinker is warning that the next step is to avoid the problems of victory. Good news from Iraq does not fit the Old Media’s approach, so what’s the bad news?

A drop in violence around Iraq has cut burials in the huge Wadi al Salam cemetery here by at least one-third in the past six months, and that’s cut the pay of thousands of workers who make their living digging graves, washing corpses or selling burial shrouds.


Well, drat.
