High Point, the city that got $1 million in state funds to promote the furniture market, is getting ready to give $25,000 of that money to a company that promises to add 21 jobs and expand their facility which is already located in High Point.  Doesn’t it seem that a company would add jobs and expand their facility if it’s business warranted such a decision?  Why do we keep paying companies to make business decisions they would have made anyway?

It’s bad enough when the state does it but more and more the cities are getting into the giveaways. Read about the High Point deal here.
