Future of illegal immigrants at community colleges unclear

A spokeswoman for North Carolina’s largest community college (Central Piedmont C.C. in Charlotte) suggests it’s not clear illegal immigrants could gain admission this fall, despite a new ruling from the N.C. attorney general’s office. 

Timing could prove to be an important issue, since the State Board of Community Colleges is scheduled to discuss the A.G.’s new ruling on the same day that registration ends for Central Piedmont’s classes.
