The shooting this AM at the Fox and Hound Pub and Grill near North Lake Mall appears to have been a dust-up between the Crips and the Bloods according to a WCNC report.

What the TV station did not report is that the self-described Crip and target of the gun play is a convicted felon who was released from prison just two months ago. Palo Childress was convicted of common law robbery in March 2007 according to state records. He was given probation but would up spending just a little over a year in prison in connection with the 2006 case. The initial charge was robbery with a dangerous weapon. Childress was also charged with another felony, B&E a motor vehicle, in July 2007.

The guy who was shot, Frank Riffas, is still in critical condition. CMPD is still looking for a suspect.
