A number of congressional Democrats (including Bob Etheridge) said that they supported the health “reform” bill because the Congressional Budget Office “score” said that it would miraculously reduce the federal deficit.

You’d have to be a complete fool to actually believe cost predictions on any federal program. With every federal entitlement program actual costs have greatly exceeded projected ones. But putting history aside, the CBO figures were as phony as a $3 bill, a point economist Thomas Sowell makes his this column.

Sowell even uses the L-word, calling the statement that Obamacare will reduce spending a lie.

The Obamacrats are desperate to get voters to believe that the opponents of their federalization scheme are the ones telling lies. With a vast budget to spend on propaganda and a still-compliant media, they’ll succeed with some gullible people, but it shouldn’t be hard to convince most Americans that the lying has been done by the side that needed to bribe legislators to vote in favor of this monstrosity.
