The N&R reports the so-called local bill that gives the Greensboro City Council the right to hire and fire its city attorney has passed and will become law. Because it is a ‘local bill,’ it cannot be vetoed.
Note how commenters cut to the chase. If City Attorney Rita Danesh is not licensed to practice law in North Carolina and is thus unable to represent the city in court —remember the city is being sued over the White Street landfill — then, well, what good is she?
