Greensboro City Manager Rashad Young issues a four-page letter in response to claims from the Pulpit Forum that a “subculture of corruption” exists within the city’s police department.

It wasn’t the city’s usual Friday afternoon document-dump, but it was late enough last night to set off a newsroom frenzy over at the N&R.

Young says there “is no evidence I have seen of a pervasive culture of corruption in the department or that there exists some conspiracy of actions and activities to subject “Black or Latino officers to disparate or unfair treatment.”
