Voting unanimously to award what the N&R reports is the third-largest incentive ever approved.
I was hoping one –just one— council member would address the issue of awarding incentives when the city is facing a $6 million budget deficit.
Instead, local blogger Billy Jones said from the floor that he”would be ashamed of myself to ask for money from a city that has a deficit.”
Next up– Guilford County and its $41 million budget deficit. I expect a 5-4 vote in favor.
