Anyone who’s been living here in Greensboro for awhile knows about the battle between the airport and residential developers. Noise issues aside, PTI officials want to bank land for industrial development tied to the future aerotropolis, while developers see a lot land prime for apartment complexes, ostensibly to house aerotropolis employees.

At any rate, City of Greensboro staff and a developer squared off on a proposal to build 288 apartments northwest of PTI. The city’s Zoning Commission sided with the developer.
