The Guilford County Board of Education is pondering property sales to help ease its budget problems, but board member Garth Hebert says “(s)elling property in the midst of the worst downturn I’ve ever seen in my life and probably ever will see, selling an asset at a fire sale price, is reprehensible.”

One of the properties mentioned is the Craven Elementary School. About this time last year, the board pondered different plans for the school, which — as you can see —– as become an eyesore.
