The Guilford County Board of Education is still waiting on a ‘critical’ report on contract awards, more than a year after the study was commissioned:

“We know that a healthy Greensboro, a healthy Guilford County, is going to critically depend on a broad group of people’s ability to participate in the economy,” said Deena Hayes-Greene, one of the board members who advocated for the study.

That’s particularly true as the county and school system grow “browner and poorer,” she added.

Which is exactly why the board voted to award the contract to conduct the study to MGT of America, which is located in Tallahasse, Fla.
